To those of you who follow this tumblr, you probably know I have never done a food or restaurant review on this site. But a recent interaction with a mid-level national pizza chain has prompted me to drop some knowledge on you fine folks. And who knows? Maybe the gang over at the Heavy Table will read this golden nugget and ask me to start a monthly review for them.
*ahem*
Dear Sarpino’s Pizza,
Your “BBQ Chicken Bonanza” pizza sucked. The “BBQ” part of this dish was barely noticeable, if not entirely non existent on my pizza. Also, it seems that you substituted most of the “chicken’ from your recipe, with artichoke hearts that were pulled out of a large industrial drum that you keep in the back room. While this pizza was very pretty to look at, every time I burp I taste sour artichokes.
