Several fights occurred inside the Mall of America on Monday night, according to Bloomington Police.
Police said the fights started in the north food court and as many as 200 were involved in fights.
Mall of America officials released a statement saying around 4:20 p.m., 50 juveniles caused a large disturbance in the food court.
Mall of America security and Bloomington Police responded to the call.
After the original report of a fight, a few other altercations occurred throughout the Mall, according to Mall of America officials.
Witnesses said the fights started after there were reports that rappers Lil’ Wayne and Drake were visiting the Mall.
I worked today, and all day long it was kids/cops/security running around, and I saw two teenage girls duke it out in front of a jewelry store myself.
I’m still getting calls from employees at work about stuff happening.

I was there. I was in Urban Outfitters when people started fighting outside and they locked most of the stores down, and some people heard there were guns, but I don’t think there were any shots. It was depressingly stupid.

This is why the youth of america needs to be locked up in schools until they turn 21. This shit doesn’t happen in North Korea.

I saw the aftermath of all this craziness. The mall was bustling and packed already. Adding this drama on top of that was probably the last thing security and police officers wanted. Kids…
