Another noteworthy DeLaSalle student, Charlie Brown, graduated from DeLaSalle High School in 1944 and went to art school where he became friends with Charles Schulz. When Schulz began drawing his famous Peanuts comic strip, he named the main character after his friend Charlie Brown.
